Matt Hagan is an experienced practitioner of real estate law, representing owners, developers, and operators of retail, restaurant, office, auto dealership, industrial, and hotel projects, with a focus on acquisitions, development, leasing, construction and permanent financing, and sales, and real estate based business organization formation, governance, mergers, interest exchanges, conversions and sales of assets. Matt has been board certified in Commercial Real Estate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since December 31, 2000.
Matt was born in Carbondale, Illinois. He received a BBA in Accounting and Finance from The University of Texas at Austin in 1986 and a JD from The University of Texas School of Law in 1991, where he served as a Teaching Quizmaster. Matt’s honorary associations and fraternities include Phi Eta Sigma and Delta Tau Delta.
Matt is a member of the State Bar of Texas and licensed to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Texas and maintains offices in both Houston and Austin.
